Certification

The Regional Superintendent of Education’s office issues, registers and monitors teacher and administrator certificates for approximately 2,100 educators in Iroquois and Kankakee counties.  Continuing Professional Development Unit (CPDU) opportunities are provided for teacher recertification and Administator’s Academies are offered on a continuing basis to assist superintendents and principals fulfill their certification requirements.

• CPDU Values for Professional Development Activities - explains the collaboration and partnership activities related to improving the teacher's knowledge and skills as a teacher.
• Procedures for Moving from Initial to Standard Level of Certification- Explanation of process for teachers to move from initial to standard certificate
• Substitute Certification Packet- contains application and informatino for persons holding a bachelor's degree who would like to serve as a substitute teacher
• Provisional Certification Application- for out-of-state educators holding valid out-of-state certification
